Baby updates and husband updates

I think some lingering PTSD leaked out in last night's post. I guess it's also possible that all of my concerns would have been valid, had this sickness been more significant. Long story short, my concerns of another "doomsday" seems to have passed us by.

Carolyn slept MUCH better than anticipated last night, she only woke me up twice and was easy to get back to sleep. She didn't need to stay sleeping on me at all- hooray! Today her runny nose seemed much lighter, and she was in good spirits. Her napping was not great today, but hopefully tonight will go rather smoothly and things will stay on the up and up. What a relief :).

The kids (and I!) loved having Marty home today. He has been so very busy this week, the kids have only seem him for little chunks of time on a few mornings. He worked about 90 hours this week. I've heard the expression that when you run your own business, it's wonderful because you've got the flexibility to work half days- you get to decide which 12 hours a day you are going to work. Ha ha ha ha... but really though.

Not only has he been crazy busy, but he has been extra stressed out too, and when he's stressed out, I have found that the best gift I can give him is silence. I don't think he's alone on that one, because this hilarious youtube video about how men and women deal with stress seems to agree. I flagged where the video starts talking about that, but if you haven't seen it before, it's well worth watching the whole thing. Marty and I reference this guy all of the time.

Long story short, I have been running a deficit on hubby time this week, so I am feeling especially grateful for Sundays and the commitment he has made not to work on them.
