Today was such a lovely day. I woke up and went to the gym this morning, I'm sure that helped to start the day off nicely. The kids and I were happy today. I'm not sure what it was, and yesterday was pretty similar, but it has just felt peaceful and happy around here. Part of me wonders if the weather warming up again has been part of that. There's something about the first warm days of Spring to sprinkle some happiness on your day.
I even got a nap in today, it's been a while since I got one of those in. Today was the kind of day that made it easy to see the sweetness in being home with my little ones every day. It made the bad days feel far away and the good days seem worth any headaches.
I wish I had snapped a picture, but I was wiping up some spilled food on the floor today, just between the two kids' high chairs, and Carolyn clamped her mouth on the side of her chair and peered down at me over the side. I looked up and saw her little eyes smiling at me and it melted my heart. I don't know why that moment was so precious, but I just wanted to scoop her up.
How lucky I feel to have these two sweet kids to be mine.
