Three year anniversary

Today is Marty and my three year anniversary. It seems like both a really long time, and no time at all. I feel a little bit like we have lived a lot more life together than three measly years, so I thought I would take a look at some of our big milestones from the last three years:

2013:
We got married (and engaged too, thumbs up for short engagements!).
We bought a house.
We found out we were pregnant with Peter.
I started school again at BYU, after like, a billion years off.
Marty started his company, and was working about 100 hour weeks (technically he started it at the end of 2012, but being a landscaper, there wasn't much to do that winter).
I learned to drive a stick shift (yes, I'm counting that as a big milestone, you'll have to ask Marty what teaching me was like).
I also learned to drive a skid steer (free labor, you know).

2014:
I switched from working full time in an office to part time at home.
We had Peter!
Marty was in his second year of business, and now only had to work 90 hour weeks.
We found out that we were pregnant with Carolyn.
We bought a minivan. Oh yeah.
I quit working altogether at the end of 2014, so that I could try and finish school before Carolyn arrived.

2015:
This was Marty's third year in business, and our first year of his income being our sole income. I'm seriously is awe that he not only created a steady paycheck for himself, but for several others too. This year he only worked 88.5 hour weeks.
We had Carolyn!
I graduated from BYU! Only a mere 11 years after I first started there.

2016:
I started this blog- woo hoo!
I'm not pregnant and haven't had any babies- woo hoo!
Marty is in his fourth year of business and so far he hasn't worked an 80 hour week. It is only March... but a girl can dream.

I'm pretty excited to see how much we can pack into the next three years. And lots and lots of three year chunks after that.

I told Marty today that even though it feels like we've been married FOREVERRRR, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I couldn't have married a better man. Happy Anniversary my love. Here's to our take out dinner and movie tonight so that we didn't have to get a babysitter and I didn't have to stress about leaving the baby. *Cheers!
