A day in the life

During the winter time, Marty only works 40-50 hour weeks instead of the usual 80+, so it feels like he's around a lot. We love it. This morning Peter (who is the world's biggest daddy's boy. You may think you know someone who is a bigger daddy's boy. You are wrong.) This morning he was home doing some computer work and Peter managed to wriggle his way into our 'office' while I was putting the baby down for a nap. I came back and took this stalker-shot of the two of them watching a video of sea creatures. I'm genuinely unsure of who was more engrossed in it.

Peter and Carolyn are in this funny combination of phases. She is slightly mobile and grabbing at absolutely everything, and he just hit the "everything is MINE" stage. This picture is a sample of what's been happening several times a day:
She is practically crawling into his lap to get that book, and he is trying to get away while shouting "No!" at her. It's great.

Carolyn is such a joy to have around. There's really not a better way to put it. She is so smiley and fun. Almost from day one she has loved to look at people by hanging her head upside down. This is her trying to say hello to her own selfie:

Speaking of selfies:

Before we put the kids to bed we had family home evening
Then we had some post-family-home-evening giggles.
